Summary
tmux offers a real boost to your productivity, particularly if you work with remote hosts. If you need to control remote terminals from a single screen, this utility is a real time-saver. Keep a single terminal open and use tmux to manage all your terminals. Customize, script, and leverage tmux’s unique abilities to craft a productive terminal environment that lets you keep your fingers on your keyboard.
The software complements text editors such as vim. It offers a good alternative to terminal tabs, and with a bit of practice, you’ll find it’s much faster under the hands.
