Progress provides a variety of software products covering data platforms, data connectivity, digital experience, devops, infrastructure management and operations, UI/UX tools, and secure file tools.
Progress Chef is a configuration management tool written in Ruby and Erlang. It uses a pure-Ruby, domain-specific language (DSL) for writing system configuration “recipes”. It’s open source software published under the Apache License 2.0. However, their other products are published under a proprietary license.
