Summary
nyancat definitely falls into the category of harmless candy. If you remember the 2011 YouTube, give nyancat a whirl.
The animation is specifically sized to fit a standard 80×24 display with minimal degradation. There’s support for most terminals.
Almost all nyancat’s telnet servers have been discontinued. But the nyancat.acc.umu.se server works. Type telnet nyancat.acc.umu.se at a shell prompt, and enjoy the animation without installing the software.
nyancat is written in C. If you want to master C, check out our free C programming book recommendations.
