Here’s an image of mdless in action. We’re viewing the project’s README.md file from the console. The viewer also works fine in a terminal.
This tiny utility colorizes, cleans up, and pages Markdown documents. It also fixes table formatting and highlights it.
There’s a few command line options such as -s which outputs only a headline-based section of the input. You can also define the column width to format text, turn off colorized output, change the link type, and list headers in the document.
As you’d expect from a console based application, memory usage is extremely frugal. Opening pandoc.md file, the software consumes about 16MB of RAM.
