Tacent View is a graphical image and texture viewer designed for photographers, developers and users working with specialist image formats. It is particularly useful in game development and graphics workflows because it understands compressed textures, mipmaps, image channels and other properties not commonly exposed by conventional image viewers.
The application is built using Dear ImGui and the Tacent library. It combines image viewing with file conversion, editing and batch processing, allowing many operations to be performed through either the graphical interface or command-line commands.
Tacent View supports large image collections and provides detailed information about individual pixels, colour channels and image metadata. It can also inspect animated images and extract individual frames from supported formats.
This is free and open source software.
