Ristretto Image Viewer – view and scroll through images

The Ristretto Image Viewer is an application that can be used to view, and scroll through images.

It can be used to run a slideshow of images, open images with other applications like an image-editor or configure an image as the desktop wallpaper.

When an image is opened in Ristretto, it shows a list of images in the Thumbnailbar, these are the other images located inside the same folder as the currently opened image. The arrow-buttons on the navigation toolbar allow for easy switching between different images.

This is the image viewer for the Xfce desktop environment.

Features include:

  • Fullscreen.
  • Hide thumbnail bar when fullscreen.
  • Slideshow with configurable time period each individual image is displayed during a slideshow.
  • Option to invert zoom direction.
  • Option to limit rendering quality.
  • Zoom in and out.
  • Rotate images.
  • Flip images horizontally and vertically.
  • Set image as wallpaper.
