Satellite is a graphical application for checking information from Global Navigation Satellite System receivers. It reads NMEA data from supported location sources and presents the information in an adaptive interface suitable for conventional Linux desktops as well as smaller touch-oriented displays.
The application is useful when checking whether a receiver has obtained a fix, examining which navigation satellites are visible or monitoring basic position and movement information. It can also record a journey as a GPX track instead of serving only as a diagnostic display.
This is free and open source software.
