miro is a native PDF viewer offering extensive keyboard customisation and a minimalist interface. It supports multiple documents in tabs, with Vim-inspired controls for navigating pages and switching between viewing modes.
The application provides dark mode for both the interface and document content. Readers can search for text, follow internal links, maintain bookmarks and return to previously visited locations. Its search facility supports regular expressions as well as ordinary text.
miro is also useful for technical writing. Documents can be reloaded automatically when their contents change, making it convenient to preview PDFs generated by LaTeX or Typst. An optional RPC server allows other programs to control the viewer.
