tdf is a PDF viewer that operates within a terminal emulator. Built using the Ratatui framework, it aims to provide responsive document navigation and rendering, including when working with particularly large PDF files.
The application uses asynchronous rendering so that document processing does not unnecessarily interrupt interaction. Search operations and rendering progress are displayed within the interface, providing feedback while documents are processed.
tdf also monitors opened documents for changes and can reload them automatically. This is useful when viewing files generated by other applications. Optional build features add support for EPUB ebooks and CBZ comic book archives, extending its usefulness beyond PDF documents.
This is free and open source software.
