typobuster is a lightweight text editor with a particular emphasis on cleaning and transforming text. It was designed around the sort of small typographical problems that frequently appear when preparing material for websites and other publishing systems.
Rather than behaving as an automatic formatter, typobuster provides targeted commands for changing the current document. This makes it useful when text copied from another application contains unwanted spacing, line breaks, quotation marks or other formatting artefacts.
It can also function as a conventional graphical editor. Source highlighting and common display controls make the application useful for a mixture of prose, markup and configuration work.
This is free and open source software.
