CorePad is the text editor supplied with C Suite, a collection of lightweight desktop applications. It concentrates on providing a responsive editing environment without surrounding the document with the machinery found in larger development tools.
The editor is particularly oriented towards source and structured-text files. Its syntax-highlighting engine is based on Qt’s QSyntaxHighlighter and includes definitions for a useful collection of common programming, scripting and markup languages.
CorePad’s deliberately straightforward approach makes it suitable for quick edits to code, configuration files and ordinary text. It can also work with sizeable source files while retaining a relatively small interface.
This is free and open source software.
