Rubyripper is an audio CD ripping application designed to produce accurate digital copies of music CDs. It uses cdparanoia to read tracks repeatedly, comparing the results to identify and correct read errors.
Unlike conventional rippers that may read each track only once, Rubyripper prioritises extraction accuracy. This makes it particularly useful for archiving CD collections, including discs that are scratched or difficult to read.
The software offers both a GTK graphical interface and a command-line interface. It also provides flexible audio encoding and metadata management, allowing users to organise their music collections without manually entering album and track information.
This is free and open source software.
