Text Editor

Mini Text – tiny GTK4 scratchpad

Mini Text is an intentionally tiny graphical scratchpad rather than a conventional document editor. It provides a place to paste, alter and copy plain text without introducing file-management controls or a large collection of editing functions.

The application is useful when text only needs to exist temporarily. A snippet can be copied from another program, changed in Mini Text and then copied to its eventual destination without creating an intermediate document.

This narrow focus also makes its limitations clear. Mini Text is not intended for working on stored documents, programming projects or formatted content. Its role is closer to a persistent desktop text field that can be kept available whenever a temporary editing area is useful.

This is free and open source software.
