Mousepad – simple text editor for the Xfce desktop environment

Mousepad is a simple text editor for the Xfce desktop environment.

The project’s target is an editor for quickly editing text files, not a development environment or an editor with a huge bunch of plugins.

The editor tries to use the latest GTK features available.

This is free and open source software.

Key Features

  • Undo/redo.
  • Copy, cut, paste including paste from history and paste as column.
  • Conversion – for example covert to lowercase, uppercase, title case, and opposite case.
  • Increase/decrease indent.
  • Search including incremental searches.
  • Colour schemes – classic, cobalt, kate, oblivion, solarized dark, solarized light, and tango.
  • Line numbers.
  • Word wrap, auto indent, configurable tab size, filetype, line ending.
  • Viewer mode.
