Kolibri is an offline-first learning platform designed to make digital education accessible in environments with limited or unreliable internet connectivity. It provides an integrated environment for students, teachers and administrators to work with educational materials.
The platform is particularly suitable for schools, community learning centres and other settings where continuous internet access cannot be assumed. Educational resources can be obtained in advance and then accessed through a local network without requiring an external connection.
Kolibri supports self-directed learning alongside teacher-led instruction. Learners can explore educational content at their own pace, while teachers organise lessons, administer quizzes and monitor individual progress.
The software is developed by Learning Equality, an organisation focused on improving access to quality educational opportunities through technology.
This is free and open source software.
