RAMspeed tests the system memory (RAM) performance.

From the VTA-439 perspective, the RAMspeed results are very strong. It delivers 50,886 MB/s in floating point and 50,925 MB/s in integer, putting it firmly near the top of the chart.

The only system ahead is the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, and the gap is small: about 3% in floating point and 2.6% in integer. Given both systems use dual-channel DDR5-5600, this is close enough that BIOS tuning, memory timings, or test variation may explain the difference more than the CPU generation itself.

Against Intel’s latest Core Ultra 7 356H, the VTA-439 is ahead by around 6% in floating point and nearly 10% in integer. That’s a good result, especially as the 356H also has dual-channel DDR5-5600.

The VTA-439 is much further ahead of the older Ryzen 9 7940HS and 8945HS systems, with roughly a 21-23% advantage. It also comfortably beats the Core Ultra 9 285H and 285HX results. The 285HX machine is held back by its DDR5 running at 4800 MT/s, which helps explain why it sits well below the VTA-439 despite being a powerful processor.

The DDR4 systems fall well behind, as expected, while the N100’s single-channel DDR5 result is in a completely different class. Overall, the VTA-439’s memory bandwidth is excellent and well matched to a high-end Ryzen AI mini PC with integrated Radeon 890M graphics.

This benchmark also tests the system memory (RAM) performance. memcpy() copies a block of memory from one location to another. memset() fills a block of memory with a specified byte value.

The VTA-439 does well in memcpy, reaching 27,635 MB/s. It’s virtually level with the HX 370 and Core Ultra 7 356H, and only clearly behind the Core Ultra 9 285HX.

The memset result is less impressive at 43,319 MB/s. Here, Intel’s Core Ultra chips dominate, with the 255H, 285H, 285HX, and 356H all well ahead. The VTA-439 is close to the Ryzen 9 7940HS and 8945HS, but noticeably behind the HX 370.

Overall, memory copy performance is strong, but memory set performance is only mid-pack.
