Xtop is a terminal-based system monitor. Inspired by btop, it presents system resource information in a colourful dashboard that can be customised to suit different terminal sizes and monitoring preferences.
The application uses ratatui to draw its interface and sysinfo to obtain operating system statistics. CPU activity, memory consumption and storage information are displayed alongside a list of running processes, providing an overview of how a machine is performing.
Xtop places considerable emphasis on presentation. Its configurable layouts and colour themes let users decide which information deserves the most screen space. This can be helpful on smaller terminal windows or when monitoring a particular resource while carrying out other administrative work.
