KCalc – scientific calculator for KDE Plasma

KCalc is a desktop calculator developed by KDE. It provides a familiar interface for everyday arithmetic while offering additional functionality for scientific, statistical and number system calculations.

The application offers several modes, allowing users to choose the controls appropriate to the task. Basic mode concentrates on straightforward calculations, while scientific mode provides mathematical functions. Statistics and numeral system modes are useful for analysing numerical data and working with different number bases.

KCalc is designed to be operated using either the mouse or keyboard. Its configurable shortcuts and display settings make it particularly convenient for users who frequently perform calculations while working in other desktop applications.

The calculator also maintains a results stack, allowing previous calculation results to be recalled without entering the same expressions again. Precision can be configured to suit different calculations, and values can be transferred between KCalc and other applications using the clipboard.
