gdcalc – financial, scientific and programmer calculator

gdcalc is a graphical calculator that combines financial, scientific, statistical and programmer functions. It supports both conventional algebraic notation and Reverse Polish Notation (RPN), giving users a choice between two different methods of entering calculations.

Its financial functions are particularly useful for calculations involving interest, payments and the time value of money. Users can calculate present and future values, determine payment amounts and work with annuities where payments occur at the beginning or end of a compounding period.

Scientific mode provides trigonometric, hyperbolic and logarithmic functions, while statistics mode includes descriptive statistics and numerical analysis. These capabilities make gdcalc suitable for work extending beyond ordinary arithmetic.

Programmer mode provides several number representations and logical operations, including binary, octal, decimal and hexadecimal displays. Additional tools can display ASCII values and Internet addresses.

gdcalc also incorporates unit conversions covering measurements commonly encountered in scientific, engineering and everyday calculations.

This is free and open source software.
