Spor – automatic project snapshot and undo tool

Spor is a local project history tool that automatically records changes to files, allowing users to return to earlier states of their work.

Unlike conventional version control systems, Spor does not require users to create commits, stage files or decide when changes should be preserved. Instead, it monitors a project directory and creates snapshots as files change.

The application is intended for workflows involving experimentation and frequent revision, including software development, writing, design and research. Users can revisit an earlier snapshot, restore its contents and continue working in a different direction without discarding the history they have already accumulated.

Spor maintains its history locally and provides both command-line operations and an interactive terminal interface for exploring snapshots.

This is free and open source software.
