Why the VTA-439?
Gaming on Linux has changed dramatically over the past few years. Proton, Mesa and improved native support mean a substantial catalogue of games is accessible without keeping a separate Windows installation purely for gaming.
The BOSGAME VTA-439 is an interesting machine for seeing how far that progress extends to integrated graphics. Its Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 combines Zen 5 and Zen 5c CPU cores with Radeon 890M graphics. There is no discrete GPU in the system, so everything here is being rendered by AMD’s integrated GPU using shared system memory.
I’m testing at 1920×1080 because that remains a sensible target for this class of hardware. The question isn’t simply whether a game runs, but whether the Radeon 890M can deliver useful frame rates without stripping away too much visual quality.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is a useful benchmark for integrated graphics because it remains surprisingly demanding. It also includes a built-in benchmark, which makes repeatable comparisons straightforward.
I’m testing the Low, Medium, High and Very High presets at 1920×1080. MSAA is left disabled. The benchmark reports both average and minimum frame rates, so there is a useful indication of how performance changes beyond the headline average.
Performance

Low is comfortably the strongest result. The Radeon 890M averages 70.5 FPS with a 52.9 FPS minimum, making this the only preset to stay comfortably around the 60 FPS region throughout the benchmark.
Medium is still quite convincing. Its 54.1 FPS average falls short of 60 FPS, but the 42.3 FPS minimum is strong enough that performance remains reasonably consistent. For this game, Medium looks like the best compromise if visual quality matters more than maintaining 60 FPS.
High is where the Radeon 890M starts to struggle. The average falls to 41.6 FPS and the minimum drops sharply to 24.0 FPS. Very High reduces the average further to 37.3 FPS, with a 21.9 FPS minimum.
For native 1080p, I’d use Low if smoothness is the priority. Medium is also quite usable, but High and Very High give away too much performance for the additional visual quality.
CachyOS vs Windows 11

The comparison with Windows 11 is particularly interesting because CachyOS is not simply trailing Microsoft’s operating system.
At Low, CachyOS averages 70.5 FPS against 66.3 FPS under Windows 11. Medium shows almost the same pattern, with Linux reaching 54.1 FPS compared with 50.8 FPS. That’s an advantage of around 6% in both cases.
High reverses the result. Windows records 43.1 FPS against 41.6 FPS under CachyOS, although the difference in average frame rate is small. Very High swings back slightly in Linux’s favour at 37.3 FPS versus 36.5 FPS.
The minimum frame rates tell a more complicated story. CachyOS leads at Low and Medium, recording 52.9 and 42.3 FPS compared with 49.3 and 37.7 FPS under Windows. But at High and Very High the situation changes dramatically. Windows reaches minimums of 34.6 and 28.8 FPS, while CachyOS drops to 24.0 and 21.9 FPS.
So there is no simple Windows-wins or Linux-wins conclusion here. CachyOS is actually faster at the lighter settings, but Windows delivers substantially stronger minimum frame rates once the graphics load increases.
Discrete GPU context

The RTX 3060 Ti system running Kubuntu 26.04 LTS shows just how much headroom a dedicated GPU provides.
It averages 225.8 FPS at Low, 181.5 FPS at Medium, 152.4 FPS at High and 124.2 FPS at Very High. Even its lowest minimum frame rate is 101.0 FPS at Very High.
Compared with the Radeon 890M under CachyOS, the RTX 3060 Ti is around 3.2 times faster at Low, 3.4 times faster at Medium, 3.7 times faster at High and 3.3 times faster at Very High.
The difference in minimum frame rates is even more striking at the heavier presets. At High, the RTX 3060 Ti records a 125.0 FPS minimum against just 24.0 FPS for the Radeon 890M.
That doesn’t make the integrated GPU result poor. The Radeon 890M is running a demanding game at native 1080p without help from a discrete graphics card. But Deus Ex: Mankind Divided clearly exposes the point where integrated graphics run out of headroom.
Summary
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided runs well on the Radeon 890M provided the graphics settings are kept under control.
Under CachyOS, Low is the obvious choice for anyone targeting smooth performance. Its 70.5 FPS average and 52.9 FPS minimum are excellent results for integrated graphics at native 1080p. Medium is also viable at 54.1 FPS and offers a reasonable balance between image quality and performance.
High and Very High are much harder to justify. Their averages remain above 37 FPS, but the minimums fall into the low 20s and make frame delivery noticeably less convincing.
The operating-system comparison is unusually favourable to Linux. CachyOS beats Windows 11 in average FPS at Low, Medium and Very High, while Windows only has a small average advantage at High. Windows does, however, maintain much stronger minimum frame rates at the two heavier presets.
The RTX 3060 Ti results provide the expected reality check. It is more than three times faster across the presets and never comes close to being stressed. But for an integrated GPU, getting more than 70 FPS at Low and more than 50 FPS at Medium makes the Radeon 890M result impressive.
