Xfig – draw and manipulate objects interactively

Xfig is a menu-driven tool that allows the user to draw and manipulate objects interactively in an X window. The resulting pictures can be saved, printed on postscript printers or converted to a variety of other formats.

In xfig, figures can be drawn using objects such as circles, boxes, lines, spline curves, text, etc. Those objects can be created, deleted, moved or modified. Attributes such as colors or line styles can be selected in various ways. For text, 35 fonts are available. It is also possible to embed images in formats such as JPEG, PDF, EPS, PNG, etc. Xfig saves figures in its native Fig format.

This is free and open source software.
