Docspell – personal document management system

Docspell is a document management system designed to help individuals, households and small organisations organise their digital paperwork. It brings together files from scanners, email accounts and other sources, creating a searchable collection that is easier to manage than a conventional directory of documents.

The application reduces manual filing by analysing document contents and suggesting useful metadata. Information such as correspondents, dates and categories can be associated with documents, helping users retrieve material without remembering its original filename or location.

Docspell is particularly suitable for invoices, correspondence, receipts and administrative paperwork. Its browser-based interface accommodates multiple users while preserving original documents and providing tools for sharing selected material.
