Percona Toolkit – collection of advanced open source command-line tools

Percona Toolkit (formerly Maatkit) provides essential command-line utilities for MySQL.

Percona Toolkit is a set of high-quality command-line tools for open-source databases, such as MySQL and PostgreSQL. The tools enable power users to do their work more safely and quickly by relying on tested software instead of scripting things themselves.

The toolkit includes functionality such as table checksums, a query profiler, and a visual EXPLAIN tool. It also provides missing features such as checking whether slaves have the same data as the master.

Percona Toolkit has a test suite with more than 2,500 tests.

Tools include:

  • Verify master and replica data consistency.
  • Efficiently archive rows.
  • Find duplicate indexes.
  • Summarize MySQL servers.
  • Analyze queries from logs and tcpdump.
  • Collect vital system information when problems occur.

Support: Forums, GitHub Code Repository
Developer: Baron Schwartz and others
License: GNU GPL v2
