Lychee is a self-hosted photo management system that provides an attractive interface for organising, viewing and sharing photographs. It runs on a web server and can be accessed through a browser, giving users control over their photo collections without relying on a commercial photo hosting service.
The software supports uploading photographs, organising them into albums and managing image information. Its responsive interface provides convenient browsing on desktop and mobile devices, with full-screen viewing and a range of gallery layouts.
Albums and photographs can be shared with other people, with privacy controls and password protection available for restricting access. Lychee also supports image metadata, tagging, searching and configurable presentation options.
Lychee is built using PHP and Laravel, with Docker available for simplified deployment. A separate Supporter Edition provides additional functionality beyond the standard application.
