Python Easy Chess GUI – graphical frontend for UCI chess engines

Python Easy Chess GUI is a graphical chess application for playing against computer opponents, reviewing games and analysing chess positions.

Users can install and configure their choice of UCI chess engine. Different engines can be assigned to separate roles within the application. One engine can act as the playing opponent, another as an adviser, while additional engines can be selected for analysis and threat examination. This makes it possible to use different engines or configurations depending on the task.

Games are stored in PGN format and can be saved automatically after play. The application can also maintain separate White and Black repertoire files. Polyglot opening books are supported and can be used by the computer opponent during the opening phase of a game.

This is free and open source software.
