lazydocker – terminal interface for Docker and Docker Compose

lazydocker is a terminal interface for Docker and Docker Compose. It collects common inspection and lifecycle tasks into a keyboard-driven screen so developers and administrators can move between containers, services, images, volumes and logs without repeatedly typing separate Docker commands.

The interface is particularly useful when troubleshooting Compose applications made up of several services. It can show the state of the environment at a glance, open the relevant logs, display resource graphs and perform actions on the selected container or service. Mouse support is available, but the application is designed to keep frequently used operations within a small number of keystrokes.

This is free and open source software.

Key Features

  • Overview of Docker and Docker Compose containers and services in one terminal interface.
  • View logs for a selected container or Compose service.
  • Display ASCII graphs of container resource metrics.
  • Customise metric graphs to focus on the measurements that matter for a workload.
  • Attach to running containers and services.
  • Restart, remove and rebuild containers or Compose services.
  • Inspect the ancestor layers that make up a container image.
  • Prune unused containers, images and volumes to reclaim disk space.
  • Custom commands and configurable key bindings for frequently used actions.
  • Mouse input for users who do not want a keyboard-only workflow.
  • Work with the Docker context selected by the local Docker configuration.
  • Useful as a lightweight terminal alternative to browser-based Docker management tools.
