Essential System Utilities: bottom – graphical process/system monitor for the terminal

Last Updated on May 2, 2023

Summary

bottom offers a very effective way to monitor a system. This dashboard-like tool offers a variety of widgets that are crammed into one terminal.

There is plenty of customization available. For example, there are predefined color schemes: default, default-light, gruvbox, gruvbox-light, nord, and nord-light.

Once you’ve mastered the shortcuts you’ll find the tool to be extremely useful.
