Astrolog – astrology calculation and charting software

Astrolog is a long-established astrology calculation, charting and analysis program. It can create natal charts, examine planetary positions and relationships, and work with a broad range of predictive techniques.

The program supports 23 standard house systems together with tropical and sidereal zodiacs, configurable ayanamsas and several chart-centred viewpoints. Its extensive collection of objects includes planets, dwarf planets, asteroids, Uranian objects, fixed stars, Arabic parts and planetary moons.

Astrolog provides both textual and graphical output and can be controlled extensively from the command line. Its export facilities include bitmap and vector formats as well as iCalendar data for calculated chart events.

This is free and open source software.

• Calculate charts using 23 standard house systems, tropical or sidereal zodiacs, configurable ayanamsas and geocentric, heliocentric and other viewpoints.
• Display natal wheels, aspect and midpoint grids, bi-wheels, tri-wheels, quad-wheels, local horizon charts and graphical ephemerides.
• Calculate synastry, composite, midpoint, transit, secondary progression and solar arc charts.
• Search for exact transits, ingresses, stations, eclipses, returns, progressed aspects and other planetary events.
• Generate astrocartography maps, Gauquelin sectors, harmonic charts, dispositor graphs and solar-system orbit views.
• Work with planets, dwarf planets, asteroids, Uranian objects, fixed stars, Arabic parts, planetary moons and large catalogues of minor bodies.
• Automate calculations and display settings using command-line switches, script files and macros.
• Export graphical output to SVG, PNG, PostScript and other formats, and export chart events to iCalendar files.
