rage is a command-line file encryption tool written in Rust and designed to interoperate with the age file format. Like age itself, it favours small explicit keys, minimal configuration and command-line composition rather than a large configuration framework.
The program can read from files or standard input and write encrypted or decrypted data to files or standard output. This makes it useful for ordinary file encryption as well as pipelines involving archivers, compressors, backup tools and other terminal utilities.
This is free and open source software.
