Qtel is a graphical client for accessing the EchoLink network. EchoLink combines amateur radio with Voice over IP, allowing licensed operators to communicate between computers and participating radio stations through Internet-connected nodes.
Qtel is part of the wider SvxLink project. It provides a conventional desktop interface rather than requiring operators to configure a repeater or command-line EchoLink system. The application is useful to licensed amateurs who want to browse available EchoLink stations and establish direct contacts from a Linux desktop.
This is free and open source software.
