Periodic Table is the open source project behind pse-info.de, an extensive interactive reference covering chemical elements and nuclides.
The application combines the familiar periodic-table layout with a substantial collection of atomic, chemical and physical information. It is designed not merely for looking up atomic numbers and symbols but for exploring element properties, comparing values and accessing related nuclear data.
A particularly notable part of the project is its integration of nuclide information alongside conventional element data. The underlying databases are also made available as structured data, allowing them to be reused independently of the website.
This is free and open source software.
Key Features
- Provides an interactive periodic table covering all known chemical elements.
- Presents atomic, chemical and physical properties for individual elements.
- Offers element lists for exploring and comparing the supplied data.
- Provides property scales that help reveal trends across the periodic table.
- Supports multiple interface languages.
- Offers light and dark interface themes.
- Includes an interactive table of more than three thousand nuclides.
- Provides detailed information about individual nuclides.
- Displays radioactive decay chains.
- Includes spectral-line information for chemical elements.
- Maintains structured element data in a reusable JSON database.
- Provides a separate JSON database containing nuclide data.
- Makes spectral information available as structured data.
- Builds dedicated text and search indexes for navigating the available information.
- Generates a nuclide index from the project’s source data.
- Includes tooling for generating decay-chain information.
- Provides search facilities across its chemistry reference data.
