inperiod is an interactive periodic-table project designed to present significantly more than the basic names, symbols and atomic numbers of the chemical elements.
Its emphasis is on visualising periodic trends and providing layered information that can be useful for both exploration and education. Particular attention has been given to Chinese-language information, including element names and pinyin, and to producing layouts suitable for printing as learning and memorisation aids.
The project uses Dioxus and is designed so the same Rust codebase can target browser, desktop and mobile environments. It also aims to expose its underlying element information through a reusable Rust API.
This is free and open source software.
