Open Sound Meter is a cross-platform measurement application for tuning sound systems in real time.
It’s designed to give audio engineers a focused environment for measuring, comparing, and managing system response data during setup and optimization.
This is free and open source software.
Key Features
- Provides analysis views including spectrum/RTA, magnitude, phase, impulse, coherence, group delay, spectrogram, phase delay, level, crest factor, and Nyquist plot.
- Can display up to three charts or numeric views at once for side-by-side analysis.
- Lets you save and reopen measurement projects, with stored settings collected with each project.
- Includes SPL measurements, a wavelength calculator, virtual summation, difference and averaging tools, and a built-in signal generator.
- Supports exporting stored measurement data in multiple formats including TXT, CSV, FRD, and impulse WAV.
