Fint is a keyboard-driven graphical file manager for Linux that combines the navigation style of terminal applications with the visual capabilities of a desktop interface. It uses a three-column layout showing the parent directory, the current directory and a preview of the selected item.
The application is designed around Vim-style keyboard shortcuts, with bindings similar to those used by Yazi. Users can navigate directories, select files and carry out common operations without reaching for the mouse.
Fint also provides file and directory picker modes, allowing it to return selected paths to calling programs or shell scripts. Its interface uses virtualised file lists, helping it handle directories containing large numbers of entries.
It offers extensive customisation through configuration files and CSS, making it particularly appealing to users who prefer highly configurable desktop environments.
