copyparty is a portable file server that lets users upload, download, browse and manage files through a web browser. It runs on a wide range of devices and is designed to provide extensive file-sharing functionality without requiring a complicated server environment.
The application can expose selected directories through a configurable collection of storage volumes. Administrators can determine who may access each volume and which operations are permitted, making it suitable for private storage, shared directories and public file distribution.
copyparty goes considerably beyond basic file serving. It incorporates multimedia browsing, file indexing and several network protocols, providing an alternative to running multiple separate services. It is useful for home networks, self-hosted storage, temporary file exchanges and environments where users need straightforward browser-based access to their files.
