It is a create-your-own-cloud-kind of software where you can just install it on your server, direct it to a path and access your files through a nice web interface.
File Browser is a single binary and can be used as standalone executable. However, it is also available as a Docker image.

I find generic names like File Browser to be off-putting. The same thing like the GNOME guys do with their programs.
Hi Torin. I agree that generic names such as File Browser, Web Browser, Mail are annoying. Even worse is when a new project uses a name already used by a well established project.
