Logmaster is a graphical application for viewing and searching log files on Linux. Written in the D programming language and built with GTK, it aims to provide a lightweight interface for examining diagnostic output.
The application was designed to handle files that are substantially larger than the available system memory. This makes it more appropriate for inspecting substantial diagnostic files than editors that need to load an entire document before it becomes usable.
Logmaster also supports information generated by running processes and incorporates facilities for working with Kubernetes output. These capabilities were intended to make it useful for developers and system administrators working with different sources of diagnostic information.
The project remains at an experimental stage. Its upstream repository has been archived and has not received development since 2019. The application should therefore be considered legacy software.
This is free and open source software.
