RunaWFE is a business process management system that combines workflow execution with graphical process design and user task management. It is intended for organisations that want to automate business activities while providing employees with a straightforward way to participate in running processes.
The software includes a web interface for managing tasks and process instances, together with Developer Studio for creating process definitions. Business workflows can include automated activities as well as work assigned to specific users or groups.
RunaWFE provides administrative facilities for managing participants, permissions and task delegation. Its approach is particularly useful where business processes involve multiple departments or require responsibilities to be transferred between users.
The project also provides integration facilities for external applications, allowing workflow execution to be coordinated with existing business systems.
