Moosync

Moosync – music player

Summary

Moosync has some positives. We really like the software’s design, it offers a good range of functionality including good support for Spotify, YouTube. We appreciate the software can scrobble tracks on LastFM and even has an extension API to create your own apps.

However, the software falls far short of gaining our recommendation. It’s way too slow, consumes huge globs of system resources, and its interface is prone to sluggishness particularly if you have a large music collection. And the absence of gapless playback is a bridge too far in our book.

There are so many awesome free and open source music players that offer more functionality with gapless playback. Look elsewhere! We cover our favorites in this roundup.
