Fraqtive is an interactive generator for fractals from the Mandelbrot family. It focuses on fast exploration while still providing controls for producing high-quality final images.
Navigation takes place directly in the rendered image, making it easy to move, zoom and rotate while looking for interesting regions. A Julia preview can be generated dynamically while exploring the Mandelbrot set.
Fraqtive also offers a three-dimensional presentation of the fractal surface using OpenGL, providing an alternative to conventional flat rendering.
