Fractals Explorer is a lightweight application for rendering and interactively exploring colourful fractals in real time.
The program performs the main calculations on the GPU, allowing the user to move around the complex plane and zoom smoothly while the image is continuously regenerated. To extend the useful zoom range beyond ordinary GPU floating-point precision, it emulates higher-precision arithmetic in its shaders.
A compact settings window provides direct control over the selected fractal, iteration count and colouring.
This is free and open source software.
