crqt-ng is a graphical eBook reader built around crengine-ng, a continuation of the rendering technology used by CoolReader. It pairs that engine with a Qt desktop interface intended for focused reading on conventional computers.
The project is useful for readers with mixed or older eBook collections because it retains the broad document heritage of the CoolReader family. At the same time, the interface has the familiar tabs and display scaling expected from a modern Linux desktop program.
Unlike library-centric readers, crqt-ng is primarily concerned with opening and rendering books well. Its appeal lies in the reading engine, typography and format compatibility rather than cloud synchronization or collection-management services.
This is free and open source software.

- Reads supported books directly from ZIP archives without requiring manual extraction.

- Provides a multi-tabbed Qt interface with HiDPI support for modern Linux displays.
