CoCoA is an interactive system for doing computations in commutative algebra.
CoCoALib is a C++ library for doing computations in commutative algebra. It’s the mathematical kernel for CoCoA.
The system and kernel are released under an open source license.
Key Features
- Very big integers and rational numbers using the GNU Multi-Precision Library. CoCoA, thanks to the powerful GMP library, can even compute numbers as big as 2^300000
- Multivariate Polynomials, it can multiply, divide, factorize, …
- Gröbner basis.
- Very precise with fractions.
- Solves linear systems.
- Non-negative Integer Solutions.
- User interfaces: text; Emacs-based; Qt-based.
- Cross-platform support – runs under Linux, MacOS, and Windows.
