Xaric is a terminal-based IRC client derived from the ircII family of clients. It provides a traditional text interface for connecting to IRC networks, participating in channels and exchanging private messages.
The application has its roots in established IRC clients such as BitchX and ircII. It retains the command-oriented approach familiar to users of these applications, while incorporating colour support and facilities for organising conversations across multiple windows.
Its traditional interface makes it particularly suitable for experienced IRC users who prefer direct control through commands rather than a graphical environment.
