sabre/dav – CardDAV, CalDAV and WebDAV server

sabre/dav is a PHP framework for adding WebDAV functionality to applications and building servers around the CalDAV and CardDAV protocols. It provides the protocol implementation and reusable components rather than imposing a complete calendar, contacts or groupware application.

The framework is intended for developers who need control over storage, authentication and application integration. It is also the foundation used by other DAV servers, including Baïkal and Davis.

This is free and open source software.

• Authentication backends can be selected or replaced to integrate the DAV service with an application’s existing account system.
• Backend interfaces allow applications to connect CalDAV, CardDAV and principal data to their own storage rather than being tied to a particular database design.
• An event-based architecture gives applications points at which DAV behaviour can be inspected, extended or integrated with surrounding application logic.
