PairUX is a collaborative screen sharing application designed for working interactively with someone on another computer rather than simply watching their screen.
The host shares a desktop through WebRTC while a viewer connects from a modern web browser. Remote mouse and keyboard control can be granted explicitly by the host, and both people can continue using their own input devices at the same time. PairUX keeps the guest pointer independent from the host pointer, which makes it better suited to pair programming, technical support and other tasks where both participants need to interact with the desktop.
Linux is supported by the desktop host application, with packages available for several distributions as well as an AppImage. Screen capture uses PipeWire on Linux, with support for both X11 and Wayland. Viewers do not need to install the desktop application because the browser interface is available as a Progressive Web App.
