Kompare is KDE’s graphical application for inspecting differences between files and directory trees. It turns diff output into a visual comparison, making it easier to step through changes, understand patches and decide which differences should be applied.
The application is useful for source code, configuration files and ordinary text documents. It can work with direct file or folder comparisons as well as existing patch data, avoiding the need to interpret raw diff output by hand.
Its workflow centres on visually inspecting source and destination content and working with the differences between them.
