git-bug is a distributed issue tracker that stores bug reports and their associated discussions inside a Git repository. It provides an alternative to centralised issue tracking services by allowing projects to manage issues using ordinary Git synchronisation.
Developers can create, update and discuss issues without an internet connection. Changes are subsequently shared through Git remotes, enabling teams to collaborate without depending on continuous access to a particular hosting service.
The application offers command-line tools, an interactive terminal interface and a web interface. It can also exchange information with external issue trackers, making it useful for projects that want local ownership of issue data while continuing to work with established development platforms.
