Basildon is a PHP static site generator built for sites whose source content is kept as text files with YAML front matter. Twig handles presentation, while an SQLite database created during the build provides structured access to page metadata.
The generator is not restricted to HTML output. Its content-processing pipeline can also support document-oriented workflows, and it integrates several external data sources for sites that need to incorporate information beyond their local content tree.
